A major player in the rail sector, engaged in the manufacture of high-capacity suburban trains, called on EXPERING to improve the productivity and performance of its production lines as part of a contract to deliver 152 trains for RENFE.
The project in brief
The high volume of production required the implementation of production schemes inspired by the automotive sector. Our consultant, an automotive industry project manager and equipment supplier, took charge of :
- Assessment of existing industrial layout and production capacities,
- Proposing alternative solutions: line design, optimizing production cycles, and sizing workstations,
- Identification of risks and opportunities: implementation of action plans to remedy deviations,
- Steering the industrial transformation plan.
